Everything You Need to Know Before You Go

Do I need to bring my own tube?

Nope! We provide the tubes, and they’re specially designed for maximum speed and comfort.. Note – you must use our tubes. Outside toys are not permitted in the park (sleds / disks / tubes from the store / etc.)

What should I wear?

Snow gear! Think waterproof jackets, gloves, and warm layers.
BE SUNSMART – Sunscreen & Sunglasses are a must most days.
Footwear with good traction is recommended – hiking or snow boots (No Ski Boots) – If you show up in flip-flops, we will stare at you.

Can little kids go tubing?

Yes! BUT all children must be able to ride alone in their own tube. No Lap seating (one rider / tube)

How fast do the lanes go?

Depends on the weather! Powdery snow = gentle glide. Packed snow = lightning speed… But there’s always a nice long run out.

Do I have to hike back up?

Nope! We’ve got a conveyor lift to get you right back to the top.

What to wear for snow tubing

Slide in Style

When it comes to snow tubing, the right outfit can make all the difference between a chilly slide and a cozy, exhilarating ride. Layer up with moisture-wicking base layers to keep you dry, add a warm insulating mid-layer like a fleece or down jacket, and top it off with a waterproof outer shell to fend off snow and wind. Don’t forget snug gloves, a beanie, and waterproof boots to keep your extremities toasty as you glide down the slopes.

Stay safe out there

Remain in Control

Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Ski or ride at a speed you are able to safely stop and avoid others and objects you may encounter.

Look Out for Hazards and Obstacles

(natural and man-made). Resorts may use poles, flags, discs, ropes, fencing, signs, and other devices to provide visual warnings. No resort can mark all hazards and obstacles. Be aware of changing conditions.

Do NOT go under ropes or enter closed areas

Ropes and closures are in place for your safety. Do NOT Ski or Ride Impaired. It is unsafe and against the law. Be responsible for alcohol consumption.

Stay Hydrated

Your body requires more fluids at higher elevations.

Know Your Limits

If you’re tired, STOP. If you’re injured, contact Ski Patrol.

NO Horseplay

Always be respectful of others.

Look Out for Over-Snow Vehicles

They may be on the slopes heading uphill or downhill, so stay clear of them at all times.

No Uphill Traffic

Mt. Rose does not permit uphill traffic at any time (no “skinning” or hiking uphill before opening / during operations / or post closing).
